Self-Check Out with meeScan

To better serve our patrons, the RPL is offering meeScan, a smartphone app that allows you to check out your own items, view your library account information, and more.

Library staff is always happy to answer any questions about meeScan or self-checkout.

To start, download the app from the App Store or Google Play, register your library card, allow the app to access your camera* and location services,* and use your smartphone camera to scan RPL barcodes on the books, CDs, magazines, and other items you want to borrow.

We’ll email you an item list; you can also print the list at the library.

*meeScan must access your camera to scan barcodes. It must also use your location when you’re using the meeScan app  Access to your camera is needed to scan barcodes.  Access to location services is needed to validate that you are on-site in the library through geolocation.
