Welcome to Issue 2 of the Ridgewood Library's Quaranzine. This week you will be inspired to bake bread, transform recycled paper, and even try your hand at creative writing. Our younger audience has been happy to share their creations, like Willow (age 7), who was so excited to come back to the Library that she drew a picture of herself reading a book in the Children’s Department. She told us she had a big smile on her face underneath the mask.

“I met this friend 35 years ago when she was teaching a class on Burgundy, France through the Ridgewood Adult Education Program. Each year when she visited her family in France she sent me a postcard. Having lived overseas I was always sending and receiving postcards. Such fun memorabilia and I save many.
For her birthday, I took a few postcards that she had sent and found some heart-shaped doilies in my pantry. Voila! I created a birthday fan for her. I gave it to her this week while social distancing in her garden and enjoying her daughter and new grandson visiting from DC. You blink your eyes and years fly by.”
